Cranes basically are migratory birds who do not have national border and can change their habitat by seasons. They normally migrate following to the certain route. According to the research by the satellite tracking of cranes living in Asian countries, the migratory route have been located over several countries.
For example, white naped cranes are moving over Japan, South Korea, China, and Russia. They spend spring and summer time in North East China and Amour river and usury river in Russia. During autumn and winter, more than half of them migrate to Japan for the wintering.
The habitats of Cranes are usually located in Rice field, river, wetland, pond, and coast side. Since there are plenty of water in those places namely wetland, it has high biodiversity.Satellite tracking has been an opportunity to review the importance of Asiafs wetland by global scale.
